The Sasquatch! Festival is one of the largest and most epic outdoor music events in the world.
It was our task to create a digital presence to match. By considering what today’s festival goer values, we created a new strategy for bringing the event to life online. From UX and interactive design to front and back end development, we created a fresh, seamless direction for the new desktop, mobile and tablet sites. Unique features included a scheduling app, allowing festival goers to customize and edit their preferred show schedule, save and and share it across social channels. Finally, for the big announcement of this year's acts, we concepted, designed and produced a 3-minute animated trailer. The anticipation, after all, is often as thrilling as the event itself.Launch Project

rigged Sasquatch character
Line-up video behind the scenes
We were handed the lovable Sasquatch character design from Invisible Creature and it was up to us to concept, script, design and animate a killer line-up video.
The narrative and design was injected with cultural insights that tracked to the current trends and preferences of the target audience. Including, our favorite, an 8-bit video game inspired interface as a guide from one scene to the next.
We rigged the Sasquatch character and separated out the other elements so they could be individually animated. In addition, original assets like environments were created in a consistent creative style that was cause for lots of sketching and breaking out the watercolor paints.
