The world's sanitation issues are a dirty challenge, especially in developing countries. A Seattle family foundation is dedicated to helping discover solutions and asked us to help highlight the areas of opportunity for innovation today. Our task was to take available data and craft it into an interactive infographic communicating the potential payoffs for a better tomorrow. From raw facts, to a key message and narrative we created an original illustrative approach to design and unique UI/UX choices to imply 'discovery' and bring the sanitation story to life. We also set the tone for broader sanitation initiatives using our visual approach. Our development considerations and use of HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript allow the experience to live across multiple platforms and devices too, so check it out on your tablet.
